Congratulations to Melba Lacey on the winning bid for the painting "Silk", which was painted and donated by Nancy Zavrel. Bids can be placed on the second painting "Trees", until the end of April. Everyone is encouraged to bid, make a special gift to our Mission commitments, and to extend thanks to Nancy.

On April 20th, United Christian Church (DOC) will celebrate the 8th anniversary of their pastor, Rev Rufus Lewis Jr. Dr. Green will be the guest preacher. Service is at 11:00 a.m. Hopefully, we can get a carload of MCC folks to attend

The Huron River Watershed Council (HRWC) has a Calendar of Events for 2008. Registration is closed for River Roundup that we mentioned last week, but other programs are offered in upcoming months. To learn more, see the flier on the narthex table.
*FRIENDS IN DEED ANNUAL DINNER & 25th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION:
Tuesday, April 29th at First United Methodist in Ypsi. The cost is $35 per person and includes the 6pm silent auction & punch bowl, dinner at 6:30, and the 25th anniversary program. Bring your spare change to affect change - 100% of change collected will directly help prevent homelessness, utility shut-offs & other unmet emergency needs.
